Legacy is a charity providing services to Australian families suffering after the death or incapacitation of a spouse or parent, during or after their operational service in the Australian Defence Force. They currently care for around 60,000 beneficiaries, with 96% of them being elderly widows throughout Australia.
The Royal New Zealand Returned and Services Association was formed in New Zealand in 1916 by returning Anzacs during World War One to provide support and comfort for service men and women and their families. There are 181 RSAs in New Zealand who form part of a comprehensive support network for current and ex-service personnel and their families. RSA’s believe in a nation joined by a heartfelt connection to the Anzac spirit of courage, commitment, comradeship and compassion.
